Who is Gan Or?

Gan Or (“Garden of Light”) was founded in 2021 by Social Equity applicant Ilya Tunitskiy. An old asphalt plant with no running water and no electricity was transformed by hand, by Ilya himself with only a few helpers into a state of the art, small but mighty cultivation facility. Through many sleepless nights a dream was meticulously created into reality with precision and for the love of growing a majestic plant.  As a true brick and mortar build with his partner and wife Sherri a team was put together to bring the brand to market.  The small but mighty grow now produces a diverse and beautifully crafted cannabis flower.

Ilya Tunitskiy is the founder, sole owner and operator of Gan Or — the mastermind behind its creation. Ilya’s love for the plant started at a young age. He started growing Cannabis as a teenager and has been growing since. In 2005 Ilya was arrested for possession of Marijana which was a felony in Missouri at the time. Having served time and being released with a felony on his record led him to a career in construction. Ilya never gave up his dream to one day operate his own grow. He mastered many trades that would ultimately allow him to design and build his own cultivation facility from the ground-up. No investors, no shortcuts, just passion, vision, grit and relentless dedication.
